AP Chem and moving-on

So today I went to Kerckhoff and did chemistry for 7 hours straight. Almost done. Almost...kind of caught up. It's amazing really, I didn't think I was good at it, but I didn't really have any trouble. It made me think of Mrs. Coordt... Victoria Coordt. wow. Can't say "What a woman." Maybe more like, "What a.... thing." yeah. Just look at her. Rumor was, she fed off of the souls of overachieving high school asians. I heard she retired. I'm not sure what else she has to do. How do you make a smooth transition from eating souls to gardening?

Bananas... in the Strictly Non-Steafani sense

So, I eat up to 3 bananas a day... everyday.. Thank you UCLA dining services for providing me with a variety of fruit for the $11, 029 I pay to live here. Thank

SPEAR me

So, a few days ago, nights really, I received a phone call as follows:

-Hello?
-Hi this is Tina, your SPEAR counselor.
-Oh, hi. I have a counselor?
-Yeah. We're scheduling appointments for this week, when would you
like to make one?
-Um.... uh....what the hell. hey, monday ok?
-yeah, see you then. bye

Dianne: Did I hear SPEAR counselor?
Me: I don't know. I didn't really care to pay attention to what she said

Monday Afternoon: (It's POURING)
I enter the Student Activities Center and walk towards the office I was supposed to meet my counselor. I enter the office and there's this Philipino guy at the front desk who really won't talk to me, and is having a personal conversation on the phone, which is rude, but has nothing to do with the progression of the narrative so moving on...
and I see pictures of Cesar Chavez .... lots of them. So I'm like ok, whatever. cultural. cool. And then I start walking towards her cubicle and I see Black power stuff... ok.. cool. empowerment is cool I guess. And I meet her. And she's Philipino.Conversation as follows:

-Hi, Tina?
-(which shock and surprise) Oh! (confused) Susanne?
-Um, yeah, I'm here for the academic counseling
-Oh... ok, sit down... here, fill out this form...

So she hands me the form.. and on top it says something in Tagalog...and then I read more thinks like affiliation with Mecha etc.... and then I see it....and the top:

Samahang Pilipino Education and Retention (SPEAR)

Wow. Immediately I ask her if this is only for Philipinos. And she tells me... "well... we cater to CERTAIN communities... but everyone is welcome.... uhhhh.. how did we get your phone number?"

"well, my roommate is philipino...."
"no, um... I don't think that's it."

And so... to cut this excessively long story, which could have been shorter, short...

I'm now a member of the Samahang Pilipino Education and Retention organization on campus. WTF. I don't care. free student counseling. It was good to. i like tina. nice girl.

When I got home that afternoon I told dianne I was officially more philipino than she was. haha. She hates the philipinos on campus. They're always trying to get her to do things. They're like that.
